Philosophy

Anne Kramer & Associates' mission is to design landscapes that inspire the client and respect the natural environment.  Designs use plant materials suited to the site in an artful way to create beauty and improve the client’s quality of life, simply and elegantly.    

In public urban projects, the designs of Anne Kramer and Associates, LLC seek to build the urban forest, restore that which was lost, create beauty where it is lacking, and design in a way that is maintainable and highly regenerative.

We do this by:

• Taking layout cues from architecture and blending them with the graceful lines of nature to create a harmonious landscape plan.
  
  
• Using a full plant palette that favors native plants which increase diversity, habitat, color, texture, and the original spirit of the site.
  
  
• Incorporating the elements of good design that stand the test of time.

Whether public or private, a good design will look like it ‘belongs’, and appropriate maintenance will enable it to improve over time as people enjoy its beauty.
