Transportation Dept. – Program Coordinator/ Project Manager since 2006 for the countywide Roadway Beautification Program 

• Managed the $600k annual Capital Improvement Program as well as the $450k annual Operations and Maintenance budget
• Project Designer and Project Manager
• Managed staff and contractors to accomplish the program and enforce ten contracts concurrently

Engineering Dept. - Registered Landscape Architect since 2004 

• Designed and implemented roadway beautification capital improvement projects and related maintenance 

Works Highway Department – Landscape Technician since 1999 

• Inspected, coordinated and monitored contracted landscape maintenance work and approved payments totaling over 3 million dollars annually 

Construction Department – Engineering Inspector since 1998 

• Inspected all aspects of arterial roadway construction and earned ten FDOT Inspection Certificates

Flad and Associates Madison, WI, a national architectural/ engineering/ planning firm

1991-1992   Designed large commercial projects ranging from medical centers and hospitals to corporate campus planning for pharmaceutical companies. The largest of my 18 projects in 8 months was for John Deere and Company in Moline, Illinois where I had full responsibility for the project, including designing for the 100 year storm.

Kingston, NH, Conservation Commission

1990 – Initiated a community volunteer project to identify wetlands qualifying as ‘Prime’.

Frank Todd and Associates in Rowley, MA

1986 – 1989 – Junior Associate in this design/build firm working on large commercial and residential projects along the east coast.  Groomed in all phases of residential and commercial landscape design and construction.

US Forest Service, Duluth, MN

1979 - 1980 - Student intern participating in the largest permanent interdisciplinary planning team in the US.  Exposure to soil science, wildlife ecology, real estate, hydrology, recreation planning, forestry and land management and associated field work for large scale land management planning of a 3 million acre Superior National Forest.
